We’re so excited to invite your child to join us for Vacation Bible School this summer! Camp Catalyst: Jesus Changes Everything is a fun and meaningful week designed for kids Pre-K through 5th grade. Together, we’ll explore how Jesus can transform our lives through engaging lessons, music, games, crafts, mission projects and friendships. Dates: June 8–12 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Who: All kids Pre-K through 5th grade are welcome! Vacation Bible School is getting a whole new look this year! Kids will rotate through five exciting stations—crafts, storytelling, games, snacks, and missions, each designed to be fun, engaging, and meaningful. We’ve shortened our opening and closing times to make room for even more hands-on activities that kids will love. Every station and activity has been thoughtfully created to help children understand and experience our theme in a real way: Jesus changes everything! New for 4th–5th graders: a special age‑appropriate curriculum and group travel led by Tammy Zumbusch. Lots of activities and they are certain to have an amazing week! This is a week your kids won’t want to miss and we’d love for them to bring a friend along too! If you’d like to register your child/children, please use the link below. We can’t wait to have them be part of Camp Catalyst! We’re also looking for volunteers to help make this week truly incredible! Whether you love working with kids, organizing, decorating, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for you. Come be part of a team that will make a lasting impact in the lives of children as they grow in their faith and discover that Jesus changes everything! Sign up today using this link: https://zionbuffalo.breezechms.com/form/635c67 Hope to see you there! Holly Husom |

Storytime with Jesus is a social opportunity at Zion for families with young children. This is for all caregivers and children at Zion and in the wider community. In other words: you do not need to be a member to attend---all are welcome! The focus is on children learning through stories, songs, and play that Jesus loves them. When? First & third Tuesday of each month at 9:15 am to 10:30 am, in Trinity Hall. If you can’t be here by 9:15, come anyway!
Families are welcome to join this new opportunity for a themed story time each month. Caregivers are encouraged to socialize while the children learn and play together. No registration required, just come and enjoy! ~To tell the old, old story Of Jesus and his love.~ |

(June 2026) “I am created in God’s image. No matter what anyone else says.” We’ll begin with the story of God’s creation and the “very goodness” that is spoken over every human being, hearing how those scriptures can be read as invitations to new freedom, community and vocation for people, regardless of gender, for all people were made in God’s image. (July 2026) “I am more than one thing: Honoring our many identities.” In her TED talk, “The Danger of a Single Story,” Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie names this truth: We are much more than one thing. All of us have intersecting identities, roles and responsibilities. In this session, we’ll explore how the multiple identities of several women in Scripture shape their faithful living. Esther is not just a queen, but a niece, as well as part of an oppressed community of faith. Ruth is so much more than just a widow. Mary Magdalene has more identities than can fit within the allowed word count of this paragraph. So do you! (August 2026) “I am because you are: We need one another.” Our individual identities are always bound up in community. Jesus describes this vision using a vine and branches. Archbishop Desmond Tutu describes this way of mutual interconnectedness as “Ubuntu,” where “my humanity is caught up and bound up inextricably with yours. I can only be fully me if you are fully you.” In delving into Scripture, we learn how no one can flourish unless everyone does, and how our lives are bound up with one another and the planet.
